I'm going to tell you something about myself that I think is peculiar and gives you more of an idea of what kind of person I am or think I am. - In a sandwich I must have the bread lined up the way it was sliced or I won't eat it
- I find it hard not to moo when driving past cows in a field
- I love the way a sweaty horse smells
- I hate to share a drink with anybody (Exception -- on a hot day I will share with Nevada.  See picture below for Nevada)
- I get a queasy feeling in my stomach when one of my kids shows me their boo-boos
- I love going to the beach but I don't really like being wet
- I have eaten an entire tube of premade cookie dough without cooking any of it
- I like to put my cold feet on my husband to warm them up (Thankfully he usually doesn't mind)

I had the scariest fun I have had in a very long time this weekend.  I went to an intermediate horsemanship class and trail ride on Saturday.

Huge Bummer.  Intermediate horsemanship class canceled for bad weather.   So I am just going to watch movies all day while it rains.

Confession -- The closest books were cookbook and craft books.  So I skipped them and picked up the next closest book.  This is one of my daughter's books which I have not read.  She recommends it.  Perhaps I will read it now.

My mother died nineteen years ago this month.  I still miss her.  This poem was written after my daughter in law's mother was killed by a drunk driver in a terrible motorcycle accident two years ago.  The grief I witnessed from her reminded of the pain that I had felt so long ago.  Two colleagues also recently buried their mothers and I shared this with them.  Now I am sharing it again.
